Internal Rhyme / Betrayal

This time of desire seems but a dream

from here to there to inbetween.

Where's it start, where's it end...

to transcend thought to create within?

We desire our time to slow its pace

to embrace a trace of grace displaced

or we speed it up just in case to replace

discomfort within our space.

Awareness of thought is ours to own

of space and time and thoughts unknown...

for the comfort we touch walks all alone

with the higher self and path well known.

To take this path and not look back...

is the counter attack to what we lacked

to attack this plague of slack

we've now freed and hijacked back

so we can finally crack this sub-conscious knack of turning back.

Trust yourself and what you need

and rid yourself of simple greed.

To simply want is not your need...

for want and need are a different breed.

One attracts the ego, the other the heart.

So may you remain conscious of this...

reflective part

for one will prosper,

the other will fail...

one is heaven,

the other is...
the title of this rhyme we continue to yearn.

And how come we don't know this?

Maybe...

it is how we lovingly and intuitively LEARN.

Internal rhyme is a poetic device by which two or more words rhyme within the same line of verse.
