The Artist

It seems as though there are those out there that believe that an artist is found when he or she can offer to the world that which others are either apprehensive, unable or unequipped to share. Is this what an artist is made of? An undeniable lack of fear or effort? So, if I have no fear to write about those things in life which no one wishes to see or face, then I will be considered an artist? What if I believe myself to be an artist within myself and don't really care if others accept what I write or not? What is that called? An idiot? So be it! I have learned that acceptance of REJECTION itself of an artist's creations is the first step for one to come to terms with experiencing life as an artist or for that matter, a human being. Anything past that is just whipped cream and cherries! To move past the essence of rejection to the "acceptence of rejection" is the biggest gift an artist or human can offer him or herself for that allows the artist or human to continue his or her path to the acceptence of creation itself. Once the artist finds him or herself here, they will begin the understanding of self-creation or the extenuating purpose for existence itself. Being an artist is far more than having someone wishing to purchase your artistic expressions with money. It travels far deeper within the self. The artist has the opportunity to witness the beauty, purpose and value of self-expression of humanity. This is not something one can read in a book and then attempt to apply it. This is an adventure into "self-realization of one-self". Read that last line again, stop and then think about its meaning momentarily for if you can realize its value, then you have slightly touched the understanding of self-expression momentarily for to read these words is the closest an artist or human can come to this realization without experiencing it firsthand! This is God's land... welcome! Everyone has been awaiting you!
